Please consider being a catechist or an assistant
Classes can only be offered if volunteer catechists are available. We require two adults for each class.
Some teams work as a lead catechist and helper and some teams share the workload. If we do not have enough catechists, the affected classes will be cancelled.
No special training is required to teach traditional classes.
Training is required to be a lead teacher in our Good Shepherd classes, but we need assistants in those classes that do not require the training.
The Diocese does require one class called “Protecting God’s Children” that you can take online as well as background check and volunteer paperwork. Sharing your faith with our children is a blessing and we ask you to please answer the call with a YES!
Class preference is given to children of catechists first and then on a first come, first served basis. Contact Carmen San Juan or Nathan if you are interested or have any questions.
