If you need more information, continue to scroll down to learn more about the activities at community organizations on Saturday, Oct. 26. Meeting time for most activities is 8:45 am. (Crisis Assistance Ministry's activity begins at 12:45.)
This is a great way to put your time and talents to good use while also providing opportunity to meet the community, support the organization of your choice and connect with your fellow parishioners.
A St. Peter team lead will greet you at the site or meeting spot. You’ll meet your fellow parishioners, meet the organization's liaison to learn about the organization while also enjoying some snacks before the work begins.

alexander youth Network
Service time: 8:45 am to 11:00 am
Two opportunities:
Location: 6220 Thermal Road, Charlotte, NC
1. Family Friendly - Landscaping Support, such as planting flowers and bushes. There is no age requirement to participate in the landscaping support as long as accompanied by a parent.
2. Crafts - Engage and encourage the creativity of children, ages 5-13, on a variety of arts and crafts. Age requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
Mission Statement: Alexander Youth Network provides quality professional treatment to children with serious emotional and behavioral problems and delivers an effective and efficient array of services, enabling children and their families to exercise self-determination, achieve their potential, and become positive contributors to society.

care for creation/Charlotte-meck street clean up
Service time: 8:45 am-11:00 am
Mission statement (Laudato Si): To inspire and mobilize the Catholic community to care for the Earth and achieve ecological and climate justice.
Meet at 8:45 in front of Benedict Hall.
Location: 4642 Wilkinson Blvd Charlotte, NC (If you need to join us at the location, it is at the dead-end of Mulberry Church Road (just off Hwy 74, a nine-minute drive from the Church).
Join the Care for Creation team picking up trash and cleaning up a neglected dead-end road. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. This activity is in collaboration with the Char-Meck Solid Waste Management Program.

Location: 500-A Spratt Street, Charlotte, NCProvide support for clothing sorting and Free Store organizing.
Age requirement: Children of age may participate as a volunteer as long as they are accompanied by their parent or adult supervision.
Mission Statement: Crisis Assistance Ministry is to provide assistance and advocacy for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency.

Nourish up (formerly loaves & fishes)
Service time: 8:45 am to 11:00 am
Location: 901 Carrier Drive, Charlotte, NC, 28216Needed: 25 volunteers
Family Friendly - Box groceries and provide simple Warehouse support.

Age requirement: Volunteers need to be 13+ years of age to participate.

Family friendly - Make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at St. Peter in Biss Hall for Roof Above. You don't need to stay the entire time.
